HEALTH & WEATHER CONCERNS

CORONA VIRUS:

The Coronavirus is of course of great concern to us. Per the state requirements, both coaches have received training in Covid-19 protocols including forehead thermometers and oximeters to keep athletes safe. Each athlete will have to complete these safety checks before participating in play.

Campers, as well as coaches and student volunteers, will not be allowed to participate if they are experiencing: cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, or at least two of the following symptoms: chills, shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, and loss of taste or smell.

If a coach or an athlete displays an elevated temperature (>100℉) they must have a pulse oximeter reading before practice/competition. If the pulse oximeter reading is >90mm Hg, they are permitted to practice/compete. If the reading is <90mm Hg, the student-athlete should not be permitted to practice and should be sent home immediately and should make an appointment to follow up with their Primary Care Physician.

WEATHER:

No refunds will be given for cancellations due to the weather. Cancellations will be made via txt or email. If available, we will move to the gymnasium or other shelter inside the school when necessary. If Covid-19 guidelines allow, we will continue to play inside the WRS gymnasium if required due to weather conditions. The heat index will be taken into account as well to determine if conditions are safe to play.

Each player must bring a water bottle, cleats, sunscreen, shin guards, a face mask (for during drill explanations where campers may be required to be close to one another), and a willingness to participate.

A water station and snacks will be made available for athletes.
